Rhinitis: Adults aged 18 years and over, including the elderly: The patient should be informed that the full effect of budesonide is only obtained after a few days of treatment. Treatment of seasonal rhinitis should, if possible, begin before exposure to allergens.
Initial Dose: One use daily - Four inhalations in each nostril in the morning; Two uses daily - Two inhalations in each nostril in the morning and at night.
The maximum daily dose should not exceed 256 micrograms.
Maintenance dose: Once the desired clinical effect is achieved - usually within 1-2 weeks - the dose should be reduced to the lowest possible dose that allows for symptom control.
Before using this medication for the first time, the applicator must be primed (loaded with the medication). To do this, the bottle should be shaken and the protective cap removed. The bottle should then be held upright and the applicator pumped up and down several times (5-10 times) spraying into the air until a uniform mist is seen. The effect of the preparation lasts for approximately 24 hours. If a longer period of time passes before the next dose is used, the applicator should be reloaded with the medication. This time, it is sufficient to spray only once into the air.
Given the drug's status (over-the-counter medication dispensed exclusively in pharmacies), its use is not recommended for children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
