Nicotinell 14mg/24h (14p)

The Nicotinell transdermal system is available in 3 dosages: 7mg/24h, 14mg/24h, 21mg/24h. Suitable for relieving nicotine withdrawal symptoms, nicotine dependence, and as an aid to quitting smoking.

The smoker must completely stop smoking during treatment with Nicotinell. Transdermal systems should also not be used simultaneously with another pharmaceutical form for nicotine replacement therapy, such as lozenges or gums, except in situations under medical supervision.

Nicotinell should not be used by smokers under 18 years of age without a doctor's prescription. The dosage of the transdermal system should be adapted to the individual response; that is, it should be increased if smoking cessation is not complete or if withdrawal symptoms occur, and reduced in case of suspected overdose. The duration of the complete treatment is approximately 3 months, but may vary depending on the individual response. The use of this medication should not exceed 6 months unless authorized by a doctor. The degree of nicotine dependence should be assessed by the number of cigarettes smoked daily or by the Fagerström test. People who smoke 20 or more cigarettes/day should start taking Nicotinell in the initial phase (3 to 4 weeks).
21 mg/24 h. In a 3-4 week follow-up phase, you should administer Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h or Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h*. In a 3-4 week weaning phase, you should administer Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h or Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h followed by Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h*. People who smoke less than 20 cigarettes/day, in the initial 3-4 week phase, should administer Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h or switch to Nicotinell 21 mg/24 h*. In a 3-4 week follow-up phase, they should administer Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h** or Nicotinell 14 mg/24 h. In a weaning phase, treatment should be discontinued** or Nicotinell 7 mg/24 h should be administered.

"Each transdermal system contains 35.0 mg of nicotine in a 20 cm² system, releasing 14 mg of nicotine per 24 hours.
