Descrição Detalhada
Oral route.
Adults and Elderly: Up to 4 sprays per hour may be used. Do not exceed 2 sprays per dose and do not exceed 64 sprays (4 sprays per hour for 16 hours) in a 24-hour period.
Pediatric population: should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Stage I: 1 to 6 Weeks
One to two sprays should be applied at the times when one would normally smoke a cigarette or when the urge to smoke is felt. If, after a single spray, the urge to smoke persists for a few minutes, a second spray should be applied. If two sprays were necessary, then in the future two consecutive sprays should be applied.
Most smokers will need 1 to 2 sprays every 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Stage II: 7 to 9 weeks
Begin reducing the number of sprays per day. By the end of week 9, patients should be using HALF the number of sprays per day compared to those used in Stage 1.
Stage III: 10 to 12 weeks
Continue to reduce the number of sprays per day so that by week 12, patients do not exceed more than 4 sprays per day. When patients reduce to 2 to 4 sprays per day, the oral spray solution should be discontinued.
One cigarette is replaced by one dose (1-2 sprays), and an attempt to quit should be made as soon as the smoker is ready and no later than 12 weeks after starting treatment. Regular use is not recommended beyond 6 months.
Instructions for use: After preparation, bring the mouth sprayer as close as possible to the open mouth. Firmly press the top of the sprayer and release a spray into the mouth, avoiding contact with the lips. Patients should not inhale during spraying to prevent passage into the respiratory tract. For best results, swallowing should not occur for a few seconds after spraying. Patients should not eat or drink while administering the mouth spray solution.
