Cutaneous route.

Sunburn, first-degree burns, non-infected superficial skin wounds: Apply a thick layer of Biafine®, extending well beyond the surface of the wound or lesion. Continue applying Biafine® as described above, 2 to 4 times a day, until the affected area is completely healed.

First-degree burns: Gently massage in the final layer of Biafine®.

For superficial, non-infected skin wounds: After cleaning the wound, apply as described above and renew applications to always maintain an excess of emulsion on the wound. Cover with a moistened compress if necessary and complete the dressing. Do not use a dry absorbent pad.

Sunburn.

Trolamine acts as an emulsifying agent when used with fatty acids such as stearic acid.

After topical application, it provides occlusive and moisturizing properties and increases the movement of macrophages to the wound site, facilitating healing at the skin level and stimulating the formation of granulation tissue.
